ReelDVD presents all the information at a glance. A storyboard area that shows the flow of the project, a timeline view of a selected video clip/menu, and a simulation window for viewing and testing the navigation/operation of the entire project.

The easy-to-use storyboard editor, in combination with up to 999 menus and video tracks and the freedom to create any type of navigation between them, allows even the novice to easily produce creative and exciting DVD titles. With such an uncluttered view, working within ReelDVD is extremely intuitive. With drag-&-drop operation and the right-mouse context menu, you hardly need to touch the keyboard at all!

Creating navigation command link in ReelDVD is as easy as it can be. To link a menu to a video, simply drag-and-drop - it's totally visual! Unlike other entry-level DVD authoring software, ReelDVD does not limit the number of menus and video you can have in your project. What's more, ReelDVD gives you complete freedom to establish navigation links between them, thereby allowing the creation of highly complex and sophisticated DVD titles.

One of the best features of DVD is it's ability to present multiple audio and subtitles. In ReelDVD, you can have up to 3 audio and 3 subtitle streams, thus giving the viewers up to 9 different audio/subtitle combinations to choose from! Corporate videos, educational/instructional titles, production showreels can now be authored in one ReelDVD project and reach out to differrent language groups.

In ReelDVD, all your menus can be made into motion menus. Still menus are fine but they can be mundane - jazz up your menus with high quality MPEG2 video background and add a surround audio stream to it for maximum impact. For more sophisticated titles, ReelDVD supports still image menus, video menus, slide shows with audio, and "still shows." Build interactive presentations or automated video loops by combining still images, audio, video and menus. Any clip can be a menu in ReelDVD!

Many Options for Output
Export your projects to Scenarist NT if you need to add advanced features like multi-angle video and more complex interactivity. From Scenarist, you can write the content to DVD-R or to DLT tape for sending to a Mastering Service Bureau for large-scale replication.

Play back from the hard drive using the bundled WinDVD player software or burn directly to a DVD-R for playback in consumer set-top players. Output your project to a CD-R/CD-RW for a low-cost way play back on most PC-DVD players.

Up to 3 Audio and 3 Subtitle Streams
Use the built-in subtitle editor to add captions to your projects on-the-fly. Just move the cursor to the timeline position for the subtitle and enter the text. The built-in Dolby Digital (AC-3) software encoder allows multiple audio formats to be used together. Convert PCM and MPEG audio formats to AC-3 stereo.

Create titles with up to 6 different languages using 3 audio streams and 3 subtitle streams. DVD players will automatically play back the audio or subtitle language the viewer has chosen. No additional programming is necessary.
