The DSR-2000P is Sony's most versatile DVCAM studio recorder/player. Its many new features include an editing control panel with a Jog/Shuttle dial, a Pre-read recording capability, an i.LINK digital interface option, and the ability replay all DV (25Mbps) variants consumer DV (including LP mode), DVCAM and DVCPRO. Its versatile post-production and wide replay capability means the DSR-2000P is at home in both high-end professional and broadcast digital video production roles.

DVCAM Format - 8-bit component digital recording with 4:2:0 sub-sampling producing superb picture quality with excellent multi-generation capability.
High Quality Audio - 4 or 2 channel PCM digital recording of stereo sound. Choice of either 32kHz 4-chan/12-bit or 48 kHz 2-chan/16-bit audio.
Preread Editing - Preread heads allow recorder playback; processing through external equipment such as a mixer; and re-insertion onto the same track.
Editing Flexibility - Frame accurate insert and assemble editing. Independent 4-channel audio editing.
ClipLink - The VTR's ClipLink function allows for quick and easy editing with other DVCAM camcorders featuring ClipLink or a Sony EditStation.
Digital Interfaces - Choice of high quality direct digital interfaces including SDI/SDTI (QSDI); i.LINK option; SDTI (MPEG out); and AES/EBU audio.
Remote Control - Easily integrates into existing analogue or new digital environments. 9-pin remote control from Sony VTR and edit controllers.
Key Editing Facilities - Built-in EBU T/C generator/reader for precise assemble/insert editing. Internal TBC for stable analogue video signals.
Slow Motion Replay - Equipped with a Dynamic Motion Control function for noiseless slow motion playback within the range of -1 to +1.
Fast Searching - High speed picture search delivers a recognisable picture over a range of up to ±32 times normal speed.
Long Record Times - Accepts both mini and standard cassettes. Allows a recording time of up to 184 minutes with a standard cassette.
User Friendly - Layered set-up menu allows easy initialization of VTR parameters. Built-in character display of T/C, VTR status and menu items.
