Guide Frame - In the viewfinder or LCD monitor, a thin
rectangle guideline can be displayed and it can be overlaid on the
subjects.
Manual Exposure Adjustments - Numerous manual adjustments of
exposure are possible and iris, shutter speed and gain can be set
individually.
Auto Drum Stop - When there has been no recording for 5
minutes, the drum will release the tape without shutting off the
power.
XLR Audio Input - 2 channels of XLR audio input connectors,
enabling balance input, with the audio recording level being
adjustable.
Superb Audio Capability - 2 channels of audio, with
48kHz/16-bit or 32kHz/12-bit sampling.
Timecode - In DVCAM mode, timecode is selected from drop
frame and can be chosen from preset or regenerated timecode.
Index Marking - Can be marked at any time on the tape and/or
on Cassette Memory, while recording on camera or from an external
video source.
Title Function - When using Cassette Memory, preset or
original titles can be set onto certain points.
AVC Command - When connecting the camcorder to a back-up VTR
by iLINK, after setting in the menu, the camcorder will send "REC"
command to the VTR.
Fader - 5 fading modes: Black Fade, Monotone Fade, Overlap,
Wipe and Dot.
Digital Effects - 5 patterns of digital effects: Still, Flash
Motion, Lumi Key, Trail and Old Movie.
Digital Still Camera using Memory Stick - Still pictures can
be captured onto Memory Stick directly, or onto DV/DVCAM tape.
Long Recording Time - Power consumption is only 12.1W and the
DSR-250P can record with more than 11 hours of stamina.
